"Lady Sings the Blues" (Clef Records MG C-721) was one of the last great studio albums by Billie Holiday. It contained the title track, which also became the title for her written memoirs. In addition to the twelve tracks issued on the original LP, three songs have been added here that complete the album’s 1954 session, plus Billie’s 1957 Newport concert, on which she also performed a version of “Lady Sings the Blues”.
