DELUXE PACKAGING – Thick cardboard Fold Open Digi-Sleeves with inner sleeves
"Undercurrent" (United Artists UAS-1500) was Bill Evans’ first duet collaboration with Jim Hall, with whom he had already recorded as a sideman on previous albums by John Lewis and Gunther Schuller. Both Evans and Hall had introspective and harmonically advanced styles along with roots in hard-swinging bebop. The complete trio LP Empathy (Verve LPV6-8497), which was the first of just two collaborations between Evans and drummer Shelly Manne, has been added in its entirety as a bonus.
